It’s your business and we think you should run it. We’ll be there with creative ideas, professional technique and practical execution (and paddles).
I don’t think that there’s ever a good time to start a new advertising campaign or a bad time. What matters is finding what works, what’s needed, how it helps people. I believe in great ideas and small ideas and that there aren’t enough people like me who can see room for both. I believe that the advertising business today is about execution and technique and ideas, and especially so since the emergence of ecommerce, online marketing and social media. At Morris/Owen, we believe in ideas — ideas that last and grow – ideas that communicate. And I hope we attract clients who believe that ideas and execution and technique have the power to transform their business and their business transforms lives for good. A bit old-fashioned perhaps, but a good time to be passionate about good business.
Morris/Owen has another purpose. We want to bring the client back into the advertising process, put him or her square in the middle and encourage honest collaboration. Working together leads to better insight and better results. It’s your business and we think you should run it and we’ll be there with creative ideas, professional technique and practical execution.
I like this business to which I devoted the last 30 years. It just seems process replaced creativity; the technology replaced the passion for great ideas. I believe that advertising agencies, small shops like Morris/Owen, willing to experiment — with new approaches, yet not abandoning the proven — working with different kinds of people of a variety of skills, willing to take risk — and then — ideas will breath life into the bottom line again. I believe that clients will see the passion for ideas in Morris/Owen collaborating with them creating good business.
